Course Data Classification

Within LiveCaddie, the quality of data and graphics varies from course to course. At a minimum, accurate scorecard information is provided, allowing you to keep score during your round. At a maximum, a "3D" course has been mapped with high-precision GPS up to 1 cm accuracy. Topography and other intricate course details are visible within Guide Mode, and distances to all features and hazards on each hole provide a wealth of information.

When you are choosing a course from the "Pick a Course" menu, the icon on the right side of the line item indicates the graphic and data quality available at that course.

(S) Scorecard Only: Keep score in "Score Mode". Automatically calculates Shcp based on players hcp and tee selected.

(2D+) 2D Plus Graphics: Simple graphics in 2D (no topography). Based on high precision GPS mapping, up to 1 cm accuracy, with tees, fairways, greens, bunkers and water defined in a high-contrast presentation.

(S) Scorecard Only

The "S" icon indicates that a course exists as scorecard only. You can play golf and keep score on this course. The tees, course rating, and slope rating exist, allowing you to properly keep score for up to 4 players, enter your score and number of putts for each hole, and to see your score and points. The app will still properly calculate your "Shcp" (slope handicap), as well as keep track of putting and scrambling statistics. Green Mode and Guide Mode are not available for these courses.

(2D) 2D Graphics

The "2D" icon indicates that a course exists with 2D Graphics available. All 3 playing modes are available for use on these courses (Score Mode, Green Mode, Guide Mode). User can see all tees, fairways, greens, bunkers and water presented in high contrast. Mapping for 2D Graphics is based on available satellite imagery, and accuracy is subject to quality of available information.

This mode can be effectively used when logging shots, as all shots will automatically be defined to the correct turf type. User can measure to any defined feature, and all hazards and bunkers contain dynamic out measurements.

(2D+) 2D+ Graphics

The "2D+" icon indicates that a course exists with 2D+ Graphics available. All 3 playing modes are available for use on these courses (Score Mode, Green Mode, Guide Mode). Mapping for 2D+ Graphics is based on high precision GPS mapping, up to 1 cm accuracy, with tees, fairways, greens, bunkers and water defined in a high-contrast presentation.
